Volunteers from Penrith Mountain Rescue Support Police and Fire Services in Carlisle Missing Person Search

In the early hours of Tuesday (5th August) morning twelve volunteers from the Penrith Mountain Rescue team were called to assist with a multi agency search for a missing person in Carlisle, working alongside Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service to search the missing person.

Shortly before 5am on Tuesday Morning Fire and Rescue Service personnel located the missing person and Penrith Team members assisted with warming, packaging and extracting the person from where they were found, and transferring them by stretcher to a waiting ambulance. The search and recovery of the missing person saw the volunteers supporting the emergency services in an operation lasting 6 hrs 30 mins. 

Penrith Penrith Mountain Rescue team volunteers are always on call ready to assist those in need 24/7 across the area, not just those stuck up the mountains.
