Viberoptix, whose UK headquarters are based at Newton Rigg in Penrith, has been named Infrastructure Builder of the Year at the Connected Britain Awards in London.
The award recognises the company’s work delivering broadband infrastructure across rural areas, where challenging terrain, protected landscapes and limited existing infrastructure have required innovative approaches to network design and construction.
Viberoptix was also recognised for its work with local stakeholders as it delivers projects in some of the UK’s most challenging locations.
Representing the company at the awards ceremony were Operations Director Kieran Martin and Programme Director John Devlin, who collected the award on behalf of the Viberoptix team.
The company said the award reflected the dedication and expertise of colleagues across the business involved in delivering the infrastructure needed to keep rural communities connected.
It also highlighted the contribution of Chris Collins, Aidan McManus and Shane Haslem, whose leadership and support have helped drive the successful delivery of projects across the UK.
