The A6 through Hackthorpe is to close for up to 5 days from 8am on Monday the 17th February 2025 through until 5pm on Thursday 21st February 2025 for Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out Pre Surface Dressing, Patching and Civil Works along the length of highway between A6 Hackthorpe from its junction with New Road (U3180), extending in a south easterly direction to its junction with the C3050.
Westmorland and Furness Council have put in place a temporary traffic regulation order that will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the sections of road.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times through the road closure extents and access for Emergency Vehicles will be maintained where required for the duration of the works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the A6, B6261, M6 and the A66.
The following week from the A6 between Eamont Bridge and Clifton will also be close for upto 4 days from 8am on Monday the 24th February 2025 through until 5pm on Thursday 27th February 2025 for Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out further Pre Surface Dressing, Patching and Civil Works along the length of highway between the A6 Clifton North 30 mph signs to the Mini roundabout at the junction of the A6 with the B5320 at Eamont Bridge.
