Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested as part of an investigation into a fire at Larch Cottage Nurseries at Melkinthorpe on the 15th October.
Both men, aged 23, have been arrested on suspicion of arson and are currently in police custody for questioning.
Emergency Services received the report of the fire in the early hours of Wednesday 15th October with Firefighters in attendance for approximately one hour and 45 minutes.
The fire destroyed a building that was the original potting shed where the business started 40 years ago along with items stored in the building.
Police have said that investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the fire.
