Police were called the reports of shoplifting at the Go Outdoors store in Penrith on Sunday (4th May).
The van used in the incident was registered to an address in Carlisle, Two officers from the Eden neighbourhood police team headed to the Carlisle address.
On route the van was spotted by police entering the city, The two males in the vehicle were searched and arrested. Police also found one of the men to be in possession of a knife.
Alongside the two males been arrested for the shoplifting in Penrith and possession of a knife the vehicle uplifted by police also after being used in a crime.
In a statement police said: "Don’t come to Eden to commit crime as you have found out today, we will catch you."
