The Planning committee of Penrith Town Council has today voted unanimously to support a planning application by Penrith Football club to install a 3G pitch and new flooding at the French filed grounds.

Concerns about the impact of floodlighting on possible future housing developments in the immediate area was also raised but members were told they could only consider the planning before them and not possible future developments or applications.
