Town Council Award £170,676.93 to West London Firm to Install New Town Centre Signage

During a private meeting this week members of Penrith town council agreed to award a contract for £170,676.93 to a West London firm called Trueform Engineering Limited to install new signage around the town centre.

The town council received 8 tenders in response to its recent tender call for the design, content creation, fabrication, installation, maintenance of new Signage and Wayfinding Services in Penrith and the removal of existing interpretation and wayfinding signage in Penrith Town Centre.

The town council will use part of the £3million borderlands growth funding allocated to the town to fund the signage but has agreed as part of its 2026/27 budget this week to allocate £4,500 for the ongoing annual maintenance of the new Wayfinding signage.

The new signs will be installed next year with the existing signage removed and disposed off as part tender delivery by the West London company.

(Note to readers the town council has not publicly named the company it has awarded the £170,000 contract to, simply referring to them as “contractor (F)” in council documents.)
