Local residents were shocked on Thursday when they again caught a Westmorland and Furness council bin man urinating in their communal bin area.
The local residents told Penrith.Town this is the third time this has happened but one eagle-eyed resident caught the bin man on camera as he relived himself in their bin area.
The incident along with evidence was reported to Westmorland and Furness Council who have responded with swift action to identify the council bin man responsible.
A spokesperson for Westmorland and Furness Council, said:
"This type of conduct is completely unacceptable and falls below the standards required under the terms of the Council's contracts and professional expectations”.
"We have been able to identify the contractor responsible, and an investigation will now be undertaken through our formal contract management procedures”.
"We apologise to anyone who had to witness this behaviour”.
The council will be taking steps to clean the area identified in the latest incident in Castletown.
