Storm Chandra: A66 to Close from 4am as Precaution

National Highways have announced the A66 will be closed between Bowes and Brough Snowgates from 04:00 due to forecast snowfall from Storm Chandra.

The closure is being implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of road users during adverse weather conditions. 

National Highways are advising drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.
