Police on patrol in Penrith have seized an e-scooter after reciting reports of road safety concerns from members of the public.
Police said they have received ‘numerous’ complaints about the unlawful use of e-scooters and road safety concerns in the area.
Officers on patrol in the town stopped and seized an e-scooters from a rider in Penrith on Thursday afternoon.
Outside areas which are trialling e-scooters, these vehicles are only supposed to be ridden on private land.
Cumbria Police have reminded owners of e-scooters “These are unlawful to ride in non-trial areas.”
