Police appeal for witnesses to A66 accident involving a HGV and pedestrian.

Officers investigating a serious collision on the A66 at Penrith are appealing for witnesses to contact them with any information or dash cam footage.


At 12:41pm yesterday 14th June, Cumbria Police received a report of a collision on the A66 eastbound carriageway between junction 40 of the M6 and Kemplay Bank roundabout. The collision involved a HGV and a pedestrian.


The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy from Penrith, Understood to be a Year 12 student from the towns QEGS school was flown to hospital by air ambulance in a critical condition.


Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage which may assist the investigation to contact them.
