Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on the A686 at Hartside yesterday afternoon (Sunday 29th June).
The collision involved two motorcyclists and occurred at around 12.10pm with the road full closed following the accident for around six hours reopening just after 6pm on Sunday evening.
The air ambulance was called to the accident with one rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital. The second sustained minor injuries. He did not require hospital treatment.
Police would like to thank members of the public who stopped at scene to assist and also appeal to any witnesses of the collision to contact Police.
