Two victims of the attack have been taken to hospital after a man with a knife assaulted them at during the incident in Penrith in Brentfield Way.
A 45 year-old man has been arrested following the incident on Thursday afternoon.
Cumbria police said “officers were called to an address at 4.16am yesterday, November 27” “the offender was reported to be known to the victims.”
The man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following his arrest he was also taken to hospital having suffered injuries in the attack.
He remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is reported to be in a stable condition.
The two occupants of the property in Brentfield Way who suffered injuries in the incident were treated at hospital but have since been released.
Police would like to appeal to anyone with information which may help to come forward.
