Police appeal for information following collision on A6 at Hackthorpe on Saturday

Police are appealing for information after a collision on the A6 at Hackthorpe yesterday (3rd January).

The collision occurred at around 3:35pm and involved a bus and a car with Police, Fire, Ambulances services and the Air Ambulance responding to the incident. The driver of the car, a man in his sixties, was taken to hospital with injuries and is in a stable condition. Injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

There were no reported injuries to any of the passengers on the bus or the driver.

Initial enquiries indicate there is no evidence to suggest that the diversion or traffic resulting from the M6 closure contributed to the collision.
