Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian which occurred in the early hours of this morning ( 23 February).
Emergency services were called at around 12:23am following a report of a collision between a White pick-up and a pedestrian on the B6412 in Temple Sowerby.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s from the Eden area, was declared deceased at the scene.
A man and a woman, both in their 50s have been arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed what occurred or has with any information, including any CCTV or dashcam footage, which could assist the investigation, is urged to contact police.
