Penrith Young Farmers did themselves proud tonight, with an amazing fireworks display that had crowds cheering at the old football field on Inglewood Road.
Families gathered around the bonfire for a proper traditional Bonfire Night before the fireworks filled the sky with colour.
It was a brilliant evening for the town, and the cheers said more than any review could about how much people enjoyed the display.
Held with the kind permission of the Threlfell family, the event brought local people together and gave Penrith a Bonfire Night to be proud of. Behind it was the hard work of the Young Farmers and everyone who helped prepare the field, build the bonfire and run the evening.
From all of us at Penrith.Town news, a well done and a big thank you to everyone involved. Putting on a night like this takes a huge amount of effort, and tonight that effort was rewarded by a crowd who clearly loved the evening.
