A skills fair event will take place in Penrith on the 5th of October that aims to enable young people the opportunity to check out and speak to employers in Cumbria and see what roles they have to offer and to get careers advice to help them identify pathways into higher education, training and employment.
Penrith MP, Dr Neil Hudson is supporting the event and will open the skills fair that at Penrith Leisure Centre on 5 October 2023 taking place between 2pm to 5.30pm.
Over 30 employers have committed to taking part in the skills fair along with Westmorland and Furness Council and the University of Cumbria.
BAE will be among the employers attending to showcase the range of opportunities, apprenticeships and careers with BAE across the UK including at the companies Barrow site involved in the construction of submarines for the Navy.
