Archie Mills, a student from St. Catherine’s Catholic Primary School in Penrith, has been announced as the winner of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (Commissioner), David Allen’s, Christmas card design competition.
Archie, aged 10, submitted his design alongside fellow students from the school. The design was picked by the Commissioner as the winner. The Commissioner presented Archie with a certificate and a Christmas card with his design on it at an assembly at the school on Wednesday 17 December.

Speaking on the competition, Commissioner David Allen, said:
“We had some absolutely brilliant entries into the competition, and it was so difficult to choose just one, but Archie’s design perfectly captured the Police, Fire and Rescue Service and Christmas.
“Archie’s design will be sent all across Cumbria and nationally so lots of people will see it.
“I want to say thank you to all the other students and schools that took the time to create designs for me to pick from – they really were all fantastic and I wish I could have used them all.
“Big congratulations to Archie – I’m so pleased that I got to present the design and a certificate to him in front of his school and parents and celebrate him.”
