Penrith May Day Carnival returns for 40th Anniversary

Crowds enjoyed the 40th Penrith Lions May Day Carnival in Penrith today.
With music, entertainment and stalls keeping everyone entertained ahead of the Grand Parade that started at 2:30pm.
The fair was also in town for one day only located on Sandgate Carpark and Great Dockray carpark as part of the May Day celebrations.
Crowds lined the street of Penrith this afternoon as the 40th Penrith Lions May Day carnival parade made its way through the streets of Penrith this afternoon.
Lions, tractors, vintage vehicles, Penrith Town Band, Blue Jam steel band filled the town with music and spectacles for the gathered crowds.
The Penrith Lions Mascot driving up King street this afternoon signaled to the crowds the parade was on its way.
In a sight missing from the streets of Penrith for three years, due to the pandemic. Months of planning and work by the Penrith Lions and others came together as the Parade made its way along the streets to cheers and clapping from the crowds.
