Penrith Man Killed in Fatal M6 Collision Named by Police.

A man who died following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred the M6 near Southwaite Services has been named as John Trotter, aged 88, from Penrith.

The collision involved a car and a HGV, just south of Southwaite Services on the M6 motorway on Thursday 7 December at 10:50pm.

Mr Trotter was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away on 8 December in hospital.

Cumbria Police have said “Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it – as well as anyone with information which may assist.”
