Lloyds Pharmacy located in the Penrith Sainsbury’s store have announced that their last day of trading will be Tuesday 13th June 2023.
A date of the 22nd of July had previously been set as the closure date for the pharmacy branch in Penrith.
Lloyds Pharmacy announce announced the closure of all its Sainsbury’s in store pharmacy branches in January this year. At the time Lloyds Pharmacy said the move was due to ‘changing market conditions’ linked with insufficient government funding for the industry.
Customers who have any outstanding medication to collect are been advised to do so before 13th June.
Local GP’s are advising patients to change their nominated pharmacy as soon as possible.
If you have a repeat prescription an need to change your nominated pharmacy you can do this by using NHS online access or GP Patient portal. Asking the pharmacy you would like to use in future.
Alternatively before the 13th of June you can ask the Lloyds Pharmacy in Sainsbury’s to change your nominated pharmacy.
Alternatively pharmacies in Penrith include Boots, Cowpers, Morrisons and Well Pharmacies.
Penrith also now has the option of an online pharmacy who will deliver your medication to your door available.
