The countdown to Christmas is on with just four weeks to go, and the Penrith Lions Club is back with their ever-popular local Christmas card postal service.
The service has become part of the Christmas tradition in Penrith, with the service providing residents with a convenient and affordable way to spread Christmas spirit while supporting local good causes.
For longer than some members of the Penrith Lions would care to remember, the Lions have delivered thousands of Christmas cards across the town in recent years as many as 8500 cards have been hand delivered by the Lions in Penrith, raising funds that go directly towards helping local good causes. This year, they’re hoping to once again see cards flying across Penrith as locals rally behind the Christmas tradition and help good causes at the same time.
The Lions Christmas Card service has a 50p per card charge that goes directly to help local good causes. Simply drop off your Christmas cards at one of the six collection points in Penrith, pay the 50p per card, and let the Penrith Lions take care of the rest. The Lions will handle the sorting and delivery of cards to addresses within Penrith town between 25th November and 14th December.
