Penrith GP Practice Asks People to only Contact them if Urgent Due to Computer Issues

Penrith GP Practices, Lakes Medical Practice and Birbeck Medical Group are facing IT issues currently due to what the practice says is a “national issue” preventing access to their computer system.

The practice is asking people to only contact the practice if urgent as they are unable to access clinical systems that hold patient information as a result of the IT issues.

In a short statement issued by the practice just after 8am this morning (Friday 29th July) the Lakes Medical Practice said “Due to a national issue we currently don't have access to our computer system. Please only contact the practice if urgent”.

The IT issues have also seen flights grounded and other systems failing globally.
