On Sunday 13th April Westmorland and Furness Council will be hosting a "Barclays Big Tennis Weekend" as part of an Open Day at Castle Park, with free and fun coaching sessions and Cardio Tennis from 10am until 1pm at the Tennis Courts and free access to the courts all day!
Along side the tennis other free games and activities will be available including obstacle golf, Bowles and guided castle tours.
The free tennis sessions run at the following times and all equipment is provided:
10.00-11.00am coached lesson for ages 4-10
11.00am-12.00pm coached lesson for ages 11+
12.00-1.00pm Cardio Tennis
Castle Park Bowling Club will be on hand to offer free bowls taster sessions on the bowling green and an English Heritage volunteer will lead a tour of the 14th century Penrith Castle ruins at 11am.
Classic obstacle golf course, tennis and bowls equipment will be available to use for free during the games kiosk opening times of 10.00am to 7.00pm.
