National Highways are to carryout overnight 'emergency repairs' on the M6 southbound between Junction 39 at Shap and Junction 37
The motorway will close to all southbound traffic between Junction 39 and Junction 37 between 8pm tonight (Thursday, 30th January) and 5am tomorrow morning (Friday, 31st January).
The closure will allow emergency repairs to take place, including urgent resurfacing work across all three lanes.
The diversion route for all M6 Southbound Traffic between J39 and J37 will be via the A6 from J39 through Kendal.
