North Lakes Gymnastics Academy has announced that one of its team Isla Sawyers has been crowned British Vault Champion in the NDP Performance Grade 3 category at the prestigious British Gymnastics Women’s Artistic National Finals, held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday (25th May).
This outstanding achievement marks Isla’s third appearance at a National Final event where she once again represented the North of England competing against a cohort of exceptional gymnasts from across Great Britain. Isla delivered an impressive vault performance that captivated both judges and spectators.
In addition to this most recent success, Isla previously earned a British silver medal at the same event in 2024.
“We are incredibly proud of Isla’s achievement,” said Matthew Wilkinson, coach and national judge at North Lakes Gymnastics Academy. “Her commitment, determination, and love for the sport have been imperative in this fantastic achievement. This national title is a true testament to Isla’s hard work and the unwavering support of our coaching team.”
