No Strike action at North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust.
As NHS staff in parts of the UK hold strike action on Thursday staff at the North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust will not be taking strike action on Thursday 15th December or Tuesday 20th December as part of UK wide NHS staff strikes.
This means that if you have an appointment on either of these dates, you are asked to attend your appointment as normal unless you are contacted by the NCIC to make a change.
NCIC have said “Our services are under a lot of pressure at the moment but anyone who needs urgent medical care should continue to come forward, especially in emergency and life-threatening cases. Alternative services such as GPs, pharmacies and NHS 111 will also be available.”
The RCN and Unison have informed the North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust that the ballot of staff across North Cumbria did not meet the required thresholds for industrial action to take place.
