New Arturo Lounge in Penrith to Open in December

The new Penrith Café Bar called Arturo Lounge with the opening day set for December 6th, open from 9am to 11pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 9am to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

As we reported in early August Loungers plc a West Country-based café bar group is gearing up for the opening of a new Lounge café bar in Brewery Lane in Penrith’s New Squares.

The company was granted a premises licence by Westmorland and Furness Council and currently has planning applications in with the council for kitchen extraction system and signage for the new chains new Penrith Café Bar.

Loungers PLC operates the “Lounge” chain that it describes as a "home-from-home", offering delicious food and drink menus available all day, every day in its informal café bars offer long lazy breakfasts, brunch and lunch, or a relaxed dinner and drinks. 

Nick Collins, chief executive at Loungers has said “we are excited about our ongoing roll-out programme and the opportunity to bring our culture and hospitality to around 34 new locations in the coming year”. 

The company last week opened Bordo Lounge in the former Top Shop on English Street in Carlisle and has a branch in Kendal called Cortillo Lounge.

The company is currently advertising over 20 jobs for the Penrith opening via its website ahead of the December opening. 

Westmorland and Furness Council are still to determine the planning applications for the Brewery Lane site that include the colourful transformation plans for the new Arturo Lounge in Penrith.
