A 32-year-old man has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug after police seized around £37,000 worth of cocaine during a drugs warrant in Penrith.
Officers from the Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team and Area Intelligence Unit carried out the warrant on Wednesday morning (26 August).
Around £37,000 worth of cocaine was found inside the property, along with other items which police said indicated the drugs were intended for onward supply.
Spence Quinn, 32, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today (27 August).
Cumbria Police said the warrant was part of its efforts to remove illegal drugs and those involved in their supply from the streets.
The force said information provided by members of the community had been key to the operation.
Police are continuing to ask residents to report information about suspected drug dealing.
