Drug use continues to be a concern in Penrith, prompting ongoing proactive work by local police.
Officers from the Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have arrested a man following a chase on foot through local streets leading to a search conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act when officers caught then man. During the search, substances believed to be Class A drugs were recovered by officers.
The 23-year-old man from Penrith, was taken into custody overnight and has this morning been charged with offences relating to the supply of drugs.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court in the morning.
