M6 Northbound Overnight Closure between Shap and Penrith

The M6 Northbound will be closed overnight (Tuesday 13th August) between J39 and Shap and J40 at Penrith, between 8pm and 6am to enable National Highways to carryout carriageway repairs.

Tonight’s overnight closure of the M6 will see traffic diverted along the A6 from J39 at Shap via Hackthorpe, Clifton and Eamont Bridge to Kemplay Roundabout then west on the A66 to J40.
