Labour Win Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Election

Cumbria has a new Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner the declaration was announced just after 4:30am with David Allen (Labour and Co-operative Party) 38,708 elected as the new Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Only 21.17% of those eligible to vote across Cumbria turned out to cast a vote on Thursday.

740 votes were void by voters in the election with the final vote count per candidate across Cumbria announced in Whitehaven just after 4:30am by the Cumbria PFCC returning officer Andrew Seeking as:

 David Allen (Labour and Co-operative Party) 38,708

Mike Johnson, (Conservative Candidate - More Police, Safer Streets), 24,863

Adrian Waite (Liberal Democrats) 18,100
