Police carried out a raid on a property in Friars Road, Penrith, this morning (Thursday 4th September), where cannabis was located inside the house and in a vehicle following a search.
Police used a chainsaw to gain entry through the front door of the property during the operation, which took place at around 9:30am.
No arrests were made during the raid on the property, but police described the raid and search as a positive result in their ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activity in the community.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “If you have concerns about drug use or suspicious activity in your area, please report it to us, your information helps us take action.”
