The former Gospel Hall on Queen Street sold at auction after some stiff bidding with the winner of the auction bidding securing the property for £130,000.
The building was described by the auctioneer as suitable for a variety of uses subject to planning consent. Comprising of a small entrance area with toilet areas this leads directly into a large full heigh open room with a smaller entrance area with toilets and entrance hall. Large rear garden.That sold for £80,000 on the day.
And a three bedroomed semi-detached house on Croft Avenue with a guide price for the auction of £165,00. Described as in need of general modernisation but offers great potential and comprises family accommodation with two reception rooms, three bedrooms and shower room occupying a mature garden site. That sold for £226,000 at the auction.
All three properties went under the hammer at The Halston Hotel in Carlisle with Auction House Cumbria.
