First ever Westmorland and Furness Council Eden locality board meeting.

The first of the new Westmorland and Furness Council Eden locality lard meetings got underway this evening held at Penrith Town Hall.

The meeting got underway at 6pm this evening with the election of the chair and vice chair of the Eden locality board.

Cllr John Murry elected as chair and Cllr Lorna Baker as vice chair unapproved with cllrs voting unanimously to elect the pair.

The Eden Locality Board then received a petition from a large group of members of the public on a planning application near Armathwaite.
