Fire Crews Tackle Early Morning Roof Fire in Crosby Ravensworth

Fire crews were called out just after 4am on Friday morning to a fire that had broke out in the roof of a property in Crosby Ravensworth.

Fire crews and appliance from Shap and Appleby were first on scene and found a well-developed fire affecting the roof of the building. 

Due to the scale of the incident, the officer in charge requested additional support. Two further appliances from Penrith and one from Carlisle, along with Carlisle’s aerial ladder platform, were mobilised to assist.

Crews worked to tackle the fire, using hose reel jets and the aerial platform to access and extinguish flames in the roof space. Along with efforts to stop the fire from spreading to neighbouring buildings and containing it within the affected property.
