A Penrith man who appeared before Carlisle Magistrates Court on Friday has been ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid community service and pay fines of £199 following work by the Eden NPT.
Ronald, Guy-Gregg, aged 30 of Castle Terrace, Penrith pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to supply cannabis at Carlisle Magistrates Court on 4 February 2025.
On Saturday 4 January 2025, two Eden neighbourhood police officers stopped Mr Guy-Gregg and carried out a search of his person.
The search by officers found Mr Guy-Gregg was in possession of 19 snap bags of cannabis , and 12 bags of THC gummies.
A further search carried out by police of the the man’s home on Castle Terrace found further quantities of cannabis.
Community Beat Officer, PC Naomi Maughan said: “Tackling the supply of drugs is a priority for Eden Police and it will not be tolerated on our streets.
“We will continue to be proactive in our approach to identify those responsible.
“Community intelligence is vital, and I would ask anyone who has any information about drugs supply in their area to contact us.”
