The M6 Southbound will be fully closed 8pm to 5am between junction 39 at Shap to 36 at Kendal tonight (Wednesday 19th November) and tomorrow night (Thursday 20th November) National Highways have said for vital repairs.
The repair work will include fixing joints on two bridges at Castle Howe and Borrowbeck, repairing the central reservation barrier after recent collisions and resurfacing sections of the road
National Highways will also using the closure to carry out clearing of drainage along the section to keep them working properly through winter.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted between J39 and J36.
National Highways said “Please follow the clearly signed diversion and allow extra time for your journey.”
