National Highways have put in place an emergency overnight closure on the A66 west of Penrith between Stainton and Penruddock. The A66 be closed in both directions overnight between 12am until 5am Saturday.
The closure is in place to allow Electricity Northwest to carry out emergency repairs to overhead powerlines.
