A number of road closures will be in place in Penrith on Saturday for the annual Winter Droving event.
With Burrow Gate, Middlegate, Devonshire Street, Little Dockray, Cornmarket, Great Dockray, Princes street, King street and Market Square all closed from 5am until 11pm on Saturday.
Drovers Lane will be closed between 6pm and 7:30pm for the main Droving parade setting off from near St Catherine Church heading down Drovers lane into Penrith town centre.
Alternative Routes for traffic are:
South East Bound Vehicles: via Crowell Road, Brunswick Road, the unrestricted section of the A6, Stricklandgate, Meeting House Lane, Benson Row, Friargate, Old London Road and Roper Street; and
North West Bound Vehicles: via Princes Street, Old London Road Friargate, Benson Row, Meeting House Lane, Portland Place and the unrestricted sections of the A6.
