The team at Penrith Fire station along with Paw Patrol’s Marshall greeted crowds on Saturday, who came along to support the community fire station open day raising money for the Firefighters charity.
The open day provided visitors an opportunity to look around and see the equipment used by the fire crews and other supporting organisations including the chance to use the fire hose and see demonstrations and take park in a special water powered fire-engine race and a special fire station themed crazy golf.
A fire demonstration showed the crew working to extinguish a car on fire and rescue a person trapped following a mockup road collision.
As part of the fundraising for The Firefighters Charity thousands of pounds worth of raffle prizes had been donated by businesses with long queues all day for tickets to enter the raffles.
