Councillors are meeting this morning for the Eden area planning committee meeting to discuss plans for seven separate applications all recommended for approval by planning officers.
Among the applications are five for the Omega site to the west of Penrith that had been submitted to the council back 2020 and waited a decision, and the controversial Shap gas power station along with plans for landscaping variation on a housing development to create additional parking space for Stainton village hall.
The meeting room at voreda house is packed with memenrs of the public attending to speak in opposition to the plans for the gas power plant at Shap.
