Council Wants to Talk Rubbish with Residents on Tuesday at Penrith Market

Westmorland and Furness Council waste and recycling engagement team are heading to Penrith this week to chat to residents about future waste service options.

The informal drop-in session is taking place in Penrith on Tuesday (17th of June) between 9am-2pm with a stall at Penrith market.

The council team are on the road meeting the public at six drop-in sessions in towns across Westmorland and Furness - giving people a chance to find out more about council proposals for changes to waste and recycling and have a say on the proposed changes to services.

Thousands of residents have taken part in the council’s consultation since it launched to give feedback on the waste and recycling options such as the sizes of containers, frequency of collections and full or partial subscription charges for green waste collections.

The consultation runs until 11th July so if you haven’t already had your say on council plans there is still time to find out more and share your thoughts at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/wasteoptions
