Council Start Meeting by Getting into the Festive Spirit

It might be a little early for some… but Westmorland and Furness Council has been feeling the festive cheer at today’s meeting of its Full Council held at County Hall in Kendal.

The council hosted the Barrow and Ulverston BSL Signing Choir in the council chamber this afternoon, who treating all attending the meeting to a few Christmas favourites including Silent Night and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.

Barrow, Kendal and Eden Day Services also attended county hall showcasing their hard work and efforts in creating a range of fantastic festive crafts, artwork and decorations.

The choir received a standing ovation and round of applause for its performance by all at today’s meeting before the day’s council business got underway.
