Burnt Dinner Sparks Multi-Agency Emergency Service Callout in Penrith

Emergency services rushed to a Penrith property this evening following reports of a man trapped inside a house with smoke seen coming out of the property and fire alarms sounding.

Police, fire and ambulance crews arrived quickly at the scene and found the man reported as trapped in the property was safe and the fire was just an unfortunate burnt dinner that had triggered the alarm and resulted in the smoke seen coming out of the property.

A spokesperson for the Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Luckily, the male in the property had just burnt his dinner and everything was fine. Multi-agency working at its finest, although we couldn’t do anything for the male and his burnt dinner.”
