Thousands of BT customers are reportedly unable to access BT email services due to an ongoing nationwide outage.
Reports started spiking early on Saturday morning according to outage-tracking site Downdetector, which received more than 5,000 complaints from customers.
The outage appears to be nationwide with customers taking to social media to report issues from across the country.
BT has said in a short statement “We are aware that some BT email customers are unable to access their email on webmail and via the app. We’re investigating the cause of this and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
“Alternatively customers can switch off wifi and use mobile data to access their email. No other BT service is impacted.”
Other BT services including Broadband, TV and mobile packages appear to be unaffected.
