Body Removed From Woodland After Police Cordon off Part of Penrith

Police have removed a body from the scene of an incident in Carleton this morning (Saturday 7th February 2026)

Police had closed Carleton Avenue to all traffic and pedestrians for a period this morning.

The cordon has now been lifted after the removal of the body but police remain on the scene in woodland next to the road that remains cordoned off this morning.

Police were called at 7:51am today (7th February) to the report of a sudden death in the area of Carleton Avenue, Penrith.

A man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is being treated as non-suspicious
