Appeal launched following fatal collision on A66

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision which occurred on the A66 near Brough.

Police were called at 4:58pm yesterday (13 April) with a report of a two vehicle collision involving a grey Honda Civic and a silver Vauxhall Astra.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 38-year-old man from the Nottinghamshire area, sadly died at the scene.

The A66 was closed between the A6 at Penrith and the A685 at Brough for a number of hours.
