Another Penrith Business Announces Closure Due to High Running Costs

Café V on Princes Street in Penrith has announced it will close its doors for the last time on Thursday the 25th of April due to high running costs and insufficient people coming through the door.

Emma Vollans Chef and Manager at Café V said “It’s really not been an easy decision for us but running costs are too high and unfortunately there isn’t enough people coming through the door.”

“I’m absolutely devastated, my dream had finally come true of having my own place and unfortunately it’s not worked out.”

Sue Vollans owner of Café V said “I would just like to add it was also my dream and it is so sad we need to say our goodbyes.”  

The Vollans opened the door on Café V in 2021 having rebranded the former country coffee shop with the mother and daughter duo at the helm.

The property has been listed to let on a new lease available from May 2024 for the last few months with Mere Commercial for an annual rent of £10,500 approximately £875 per month with the property qualifying for 100% small business rate relief.

Café V have said they will honour all unused vouchers and in their final week with the business closing on the 25th April 2024.
