A66 Westbound Closed at Stainton following Collision

The A66 Westbound is closed near Stainton following a collision that occurred just after 6pm this evening.

Police and Emergency services are on the scene. The road is presently blocked to allow emergency services to deal with the accident.

Cumbria Police are advising drivers that the road is blocked and should be avoided until further notice.

A spokesperson for the force said “We thank you for your patience and understanding whilst the emergency services are dealing with the incident.”
